报告摘要:
Spin fluctuations are of fundamental importance in magnetism, not only determining thermodynamic properties of magnets, but also finding their roles in some of the most attracting topics in modern condensed matter physics, such as Fe based superconductivity and spintronics. Time dependent density functional perturbation theory (TDDFPT) provides a parameter-free tool to study spin fluctuations, without involving approximations beyond those already been made in practical density functional theory calculations. I will talk about our implementation of TDDFPT for spin fluctuations using plane-waves and pseudopotentials approach based on Quantum Espresso. I will then show our benchmarking results on bcc Fe, fcc Ni, bcc Cr.
个人简介:
曹坤博士于2012年在中国科学技术大学物理系获得博士学位,随后在牛津大学从事博士后研究至今。期间主要从事基于第一性原理计算方法研究多铁性材料。最近的研究为开发基于时间相关密度泛函微扰理论计算自旋涨落的方法,并将其应用到研究铁基超导材料和多铁性材料中。共发表论文10篇,其中PRL 4 篇。
