报告摘要:
We report our recent work on low dimensional quantum thermal transport in condensed matter physics, which includes phonon Hall effect, thermal rectification and interfacial thermal transport. In the first part, I will introduce our recent progress on thermal rectification (reversal and necessary condition), interfacial thermal transport in spin chains, atomic chains and metal-insulator interface. In the second part, I will talk about our work on the phonon Hall effect. To investigate the existence of ballistic phonon Hall effect (PHE) in two dimensional lattices, to understand its underlying mechanism, and to explore its various properties and associated effects, we applied nonequilibrium Green's function method to the finite-junction systems and Green-Kubo formula to the infinite periodic lattices to propose exact theories for the PHE and also do the numerical calculations on different lattice systems. Our study confirmed the existence of phonon Hall effect in ballistic lattices; we obtained the necessary conditions for the PHE, also found the topological natures and associate phase transitions.
