近些年来, 以光子晶体和超构材料(Metamaterials)为代表的光子人工微结构引起了人们的极大兴趣。近期和光子人工微结构相关的研究热点不断出现，产生了拓扑光子学、非厄米光子学和自旋光子学等。我们主要研究各种超构材料（双负和单负材料、零折射率材料、双曲材料）以及各种光学特殊点（光子狄拉克点、光学EP点）和光学态（Fano共振态、拓扑态、连续域束缚态—bound states in continuum）的光场调控。其中, 光子带隙和连续域束缚态的工作受到同行的广泛关注。
