    The main research interests including preparation, investigation and application of sol-gel derived nanostructured porous solids and thin films, focusing on the properties of optic, thermal and electric of nanostructured materials such as aerogels. More than 500 papers have been published in scientific journals.

    Recently, more attention is paid on the application of aerogels and aerogel composites in energy saving and environmental protection, such as super thermal insulations, solar cell technology, super capacitors, water and air purification, some of them are under industrialization.
